Hello,

With this post I would like to focus on SOLD SECURE,

‘The UK’s premier testing and certification house for security products’

Backed by the Home Office and managed by the Master Locksmith Association.

They test all manner of security products - bike and motorcycle locks / padlocks / door and window locks and much more besides.

All products are rated bronze through to diamond to give consumers, guidance and confidence when purchasing items.

Sold Secure Bronze
Offering theft resistance against a basic tool list (aimed at preventing opportunist crime)

Sold Secure Silver
Offering theft resistance against an enhanced tool list (aimed at preventing more determined attacked)

Sold Secure Gold
Offering theft resistance against a dedicated tool list (aimed at preventing dedicated attacks)

Sold Secure Diamond
The highest level of theft resistance including use of specialist tools (aimed at preventing the most destructive attacks that could include angle grinders)

For bike and motorcycle owners I would like to highlight locks / chains and ground anchors rated Diamond for Powered Cycles – as they are tested against angle grinders!

Combining these products with storing your bike / motorcycle in a secure shed or garage will greatly improve its security.

Consider the following to improve garage and shed security – fitting coach bolts to hinges / covering windows / fitting shed alarm / extending house alarm into the garage / fitting quality locks to doors / fit a garage defender to protect up and over garage doors / lock value items to ground anchor – Sold Secure Diamond rated for Power Cycles if possible.
