Road Safety – Kinross Primary School

On Tuesday 3rd December 2024, Constables Samson and Duncan, from the Kinross Community Policing Team, attended at Kinross Primary School to talk to some of the pupils about road safety.

Both officers were very impressed with the pupils’ knowledge of road safety including how to cross the road and using their bikes safely.

The pupils were also able to use a speed detection device on Station Road, directly outside of the primary school, to promote safe driving in the area.

One of the pupils, Adam, also made a drawing about Police which was provided to Constables Samson and Duncan.

Constables Samson and Duncan would like to thank the pupils and staff for promoting road safety and keeping their community safe.

Appeal For Information – Theft of Defibrillator, Stanley

We are currently investigating the theft of a community-accessible defibrillator from its housing outside the Spar shop in Percy Street, Stanley. This is thought to have occurred about 1:30am on Sunday 27th October.

The theft was not initially reported to police as it was thought that the defibrillator may have been taken for proper use in a medical incident, however on 11th November it was discovered discarded in a carrier bag in the Bertha Park area of Perth. The battery was missing, and cost of replacement and repairs is estimated at around £360.

Officers would like to trace two men who were seen removing the defibrillator from its cabinet. The first is described as tall with dark hair, wearing a dark jacket and dark jacket. The second is also described as tall with dark hair, wearing a dark shirt open over a lighter undershirt and dark bottoms. They were seen to get into a black disabled-access taxi which then drove off. We would like to appeal to this taxi driver to contact us.

If you have any information that could assist us, please call 101 or speak to any police officer. Also, information can be provided anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is CR/436904/24.
