POLICE SCOTLAND - CLACKMANNANSHIRE - ROAD TRAFFIC OFFENDING

"3 WEEKS OF PROACTIVE ROAD TRAFFIC ACTIVITY”

Officers from the Clackmannanshire Community Policing Team dedicated time to patrol local roads to target road traffic offending across the county. Some of these matters related to concerns which local officers were made aware of as detailed below:

 

03/06/25 - Cambus - Constable Kouassi attended in the Cambus area after a vehicle was of concern, having no insurance, no m.o.t and parked on a public roadway. This vehicle had been here for an extended period of time and also restricting traffic flow and access to and from a junction, leading to concern by local authority and residents alike. The vehicle was seized by Police.

 

02/06/25 - Tullibody / Alva / Sauchie – Constables Kouassi, Easton and Smith, carried out pro-active vehicle patrols and throughout deployment, they discovered 3 vehicles being driven with no insurance. 

 

2 of the drivers were also found to be driving with only a provisional license, without L plates and unaccompanied. The drivers were charged and the vehicles seized.

 

24/05/2025 – Alloa - Constables Easton, Smith and Kouassi, carried out a proactive stop due to smell of drugs, driver found to be driving under the influence, no insurance and with only a provisional license, without L plates and unaccompanied. The driver was arrested, charged and the vehicle seized by Police.

 

22/05/2025 – Sauchie - Constables Easton and Smith carried out a proactive vehicle stop, and the driver was found to be driving with no insurance. The vehicle was seized by Police, the driver charged with offences.

 

16/05/2025 – Coalsnaughton - Constable Easton observed a known disqualified driver, who was driving an electric scooter. The driver was arrested and charged with multiple offences. The scooter was seized by Police.

 

​06/05/2025 – Alloa - Sergeant O'Reilly, Constables Kouassi and Smith deployed in both plain clothed and uniformed patrols in relation to reports of off-road bikes being utilised in a local playpark. 2 persons were apprehended and thereafter charged accordingly for respective offences. An off-road bike was seized by Police.
